The Hash family has been a total mess lately. Stuffy noses, sinus problems, ear infections -- you name it, we've had it this winter. As we slowly start to get on the mend, I'm getting focused on keeping us healthy. IMHO, it's much easier to stay healthy than it is to deal with sickness. Once one of us gets sick we just pass it back and forth over and over again. When we're healthy, I swear that's contagious, too! We typically have very long strings to health in this family and it's when I get lazy about eating healthy, diffusing oils and taking vitamins that we start the downslide.
So, what have been been doing to encourage the path back to health? I've been diffusing back and forth a Lemon-Peppermint-Lavender (picture above) mix and Thieves. I swear, I can stand over the diffuser for a few minutes -- particularly when there is a lot of peppermint -- and feel so much relief with sinus pressure.
For Livia, I've been putting Thieves on the bottom of her feet before bed every night. Something about the scent is really soothing. I'm also using a mix of jojoba and lavender on her cheeks and nose at night. Both have been dry and chapped slightly from the combination of cold weather and runny nose. It helps so much. I use it, too!
Finally, I've been using Purification like it's my job. Seriously, I've been using it for everything. I'm just crossing my fingers that I have enough to keep me going until my March ER order! It may be a seasonal thing, but I'm telling you that I'm running through this awesome oil so fast. Thankfully, I like the smell so I've been diffusing it a bunch, too.
